I spent 2 weeks in the Moab, UT area photographing night scenes in August. I slept during the heat of the day, and spent all night shooting the stars. I knew the North Window arch had a lot of potential if the Milky Way would line up properly. Patience through hours of waiting finally paid off. I composed the scene with my camera on a tripod, and climbed up into the arch. I communicated with my wife using a flashlight, and when I was in the proper position, she snapped the picture.
