In order to capture this image, you need good scrambling skills and no fear of tight places. Carrying a camera in these tight slots can be burdensome, but the images that can be captured are well worth the effort. After wiggling and stemming our way through the tight passages of the Fiery Furnace, I looked back and saw the sun disappear behind an outcropping, creating a sunburst above my wife’s head. This is one of those totally serendipitous moments that yielded one of my favorite images of my wife in the great outdoors.
