Coming Up Empty

I stalked this heron for over thirty minutes waiting patiently while it was fishing in the marsh. When it finally plunged its head into the water, I was hoping for a large catch in its beak. Needless to say it was disappointing when it came up empty. Fortunately for me, I had captured a series of photos of the event and was pleasantly surprised to find this image where the sun provided a perfect backlight for the scene highlighting the red feathers and the droplets of water.
