Frost Flowers are generally found in low-lying areas during the first 2 or 3 freezes of the season. They're small and you have to belly crawl on cold ground to take photos but they're mesmerizing!
Description
Frost flower "bloom" when the first hard freeze of the year cause plant stems to crack. Moisture from inside the plant flows out and instantly freezes in the cold air making dramatic designs and amazing shapes in these tiny, fragile frost flowers
