Alpamayo

During a trek into Peru's Cordillera Blanca, I had the opportunity to photograph one of the most beautiful mountains in the world. The uppermost glaciated portion looks like a perfect triangle from this angle, and fortunately I brought along a long lens (365mm) to capture the summit as it cleared from a storm. Even years later, it still ranks as the most impressive summit I have seen.
