I-15 about 33 miles North of Las Vegas. Take exit 75 towards Valley of Fire E/Lake Mead. Merge onto Valley of Fire Hwy and continue for 18 miles. Turn left onto Mouse’s Tank Rd. Continue straight and then you’ll soon take a right at the Valley of Fire visitor’s center

Description
We hiked out to this particular rock formation and waited for the sun to set. I positioned myself to catch the sunset color in the picture. It turned out to be a good combination of rock striations that lead the eye to the prow of the rock and streaks in the sky.
