Description

In August of 2020 I set up above this high Sierra lake in hopes of catching the core of the Milky Way above the distant peaks while the moon was rising--creating natural light/detail on the mountains. It all worked out perfectly. As the moon rose, the peaks caught moonlight; meanwhile, the Milky Way was still visible in the sky above the peaks. The Milky Way above and the lake/creek below create a "leading lines" element that converges on the mountains.
