On a summer evening I was chasing a thunderstorm in central Pennsylvania where I live. I was monitoring lightning strikes on a phone app and trying to drive ahead of the front edge of the storm. I stopped at an outlook that the storm was approaching. Since I don't have a lightning detector for my camera, I shot multiple long exposures from inside my car, hoping to catch lightning strikes in an exposure before rain swept over me. As luck would have it, multiple strikes hit the ground at the same instant while the shutter was open.
