The image title "Cheetah Love" is not necessarily anthropomorphic, although it's hard not to see the love between this mother cheetah and her cub. The real love is my love of these beautiful animals. The closer I am able to focus on their expressive faces, the better! The expressions are constantly changing, and their eyes really are windows into their universe. OK. So I guess I am being anthropomorphic. It was the purple hour, well after sun down. The ISO was higher than I would like, but I needed the high ISO setting to keep the shutter speed high enough to freeze the very active cubs. This "super mom" cheetah is actually looking after 6 cubs, five of her own, and one adopted. I took the image with a Canon EOS 7D Mark II with a Canon EF 100-400 f/ 4.5-5.6 IS II USM lens with a Canon 1.4x II teleconverter. The exposure settings were 1/500 sec, f/ 8.0, ISO 16,000, 560 mm, hand-held.
