The lion prides in Ruaha National Park in Tanzania are very large. We found a pile of (we think) right around 10 cubs that had been hidden under a large thorn bush while the pride was out hunting. The cubs were constantly jostling, playing and pouncing on each other in the pile. It was after sunset, and very dark under the bush. There was no way to get a direct shot without any branches getting in the way. Fortunately, the bokeh affect of the intervening leaves and branches made for a nice "soft" focus shot. I took the image with a Canon 7D Mark II with EF 100 - 400 IS II USM lens with 1.4X III teleconverter. The settings were 1/160 sec, f/ 8.0, ISO 6400, 560 mm.
