Wanting to drive to Patriarch grove last Saturday and was skunked by the weather. At 10,500 feet elevation, the clouds were so thicc I couldn't see 15 yards. There was some light snow but that was no problem. Cant photograph the trees if you cant see them. After waiting for an hour the clouds didn't clear so I headed down the dirt road to lower elevations. As I was almost to Shulhman grove the clouds parted and the beautiful warm sunlight hit the ancient trees. It was a truly glorious sight to see and even though I didn't get the photo I wanted. The universe made sure I came away with a few good photos.
