I traveled to Monument Valley during the winter, when the crowds are far less and the low winter light makes the landscape less harsh, to mountain bike and photograph the park. I enjoy photographing from my bike since you have unencumbered views and the slow pace ensures you don’t miss any of the scenery. Since I had never been to Monument Valley before, the slow pace of my biking made sure I didn’t miss any aspect of the epic views. Also, I didn’t have to worry about stopping only at pullouts, since all I had to do was park my bike anywhere that I wanted along the side of the road.
