Last summer the comet Neowise made its appearance in the northwest skies, and figured I would try some night shots to mark the occasion. I set up along the shores of Chocorua Lake with the iconic profile of Mount Chocorua hovering over the still waters. A long exposure at high ISO provided the sky and water exposure, a longer exposure using a lower ISO was made for the mountain to reduce noise. The orange glow of the clouds was the reflected light of sunset which occurred a bit earlier, but was still detected by the camera's sensor. Still conditions allowed the mirror image to be reflected.
