Description

This smol 8-inch bristlecone pine tree (Pinus Longaeva) sapling is about 60 years old (per a USFS ranger) and it has got the potential to be the oldest living tree on this planet. It could live to be 5000+ years old... that is if it survives photographers and tourists that like to go off-trail to get their compositions or have their photo taken next to the famous tree in the background. We need to protect this area (especially this sapling) so that future generations can be inspired and marvel at these beautifully twisted trees.

This tiny tree had a twin a few feet to the right and last year someone stepped on it. it snapped the tree in half. luckily the tree is tough and is still living despite being ripped in half.
