Minnesota's nickname is "the land of 10,000 lakes" (which apparently is inaccurate as there are actually more than 12,000 lakes). The many lakes cover the entire state including many lakes located within the city limits of Minneapolis and St. Paul. I lived in Minneapolis for many years and found that at the end of a summer day, I (and many others) were drawn to the lakes. There is nothing more relaxing than to watch the sunset from one of the many docks on the city lakes. People go to the docks to fish, meet up people or just relax. I think this photo really represents the beauty of "the land of 10,000 lakes" and how the lakes are a part of the city's identity.
