When Comet NEOWISE graced our night skies in July of 2020, I resolved to capture it in an otherworldly setting with no human impacts (e.g. lights, structures) in sight. I decided on Mono Lake. Going there meant pulling an "all-nighter" to drive there, set up, shoot, and get back home. I left home a little after 12:00am and arrived around 3:30am. I watched in awe as Comet NEOWISE rose above the horizon and put on a dazzling display before sunrise. This particular shot was my favorite from that night.
