Cathedral Peak in Yosemite National Park is so named because of its resemblance to a cathedral spire. I have always wanted to capture Cathedral Peak at sunset to capture the essence of that concept. It all came together this particular evening. Clouds were gathering--but a nice gap in the clouds was forming in the west, which would allow the sun to light up the clouds. This was the result--and it turned out even better than I imagined. There is an orange glow around Cathedral Peak--showing it in its glory.
