I spent 8 days diving with manta rays in the Socorro Islands of Mexico. My main objective was to capture the grace and beauty of the mantas swimming through the water. After several dives I came to the conclusion that the best way to achieve my goal was to capture an image of a manta making a banking turn in front of me. I thought I was happy with my previous shots of single mantas banking, when these two turned together right in front of me. I could not have choreographed it any better.
