Horsetail Fall is a seasonal waterfall that flows in the winter and early spring. If the Fall are flowing in the last 2 weeks February and the weather conditions are just right, the setting sun illuminates the waterfall in an impressive display of orange and red color.
This image was taken on a windy and somewhat stormy evening. The sun broke through a small cloud opening to light the falls and the wind blow mist in an impressive display. The mist was being blown up the face and out the top of the falls which provided another dimension to the image, a tight frame on the falls was used to emphasis this display.
