The bright blue and orange male Kenyan Rock Agama is one of the most brightly colored reptiles in East Africa, but the female agama is another story. The smaller agamas are female, and a little drab, but a few eventually turn into brightly colored males. The more dominant the male agama, the brighter the colors. But the browns and tans of the female color scheme are beautiful as well. I took the image with a Canon 7D Mark II with an EF 100 - 400 mm f/4.5 - 5.6 IS II USM lens with a 1.4x III teleconverter. The exposure settings are 560 mm, 1/1000 sec, f/8.0, ISO 2000.
