I had planned on doing an early morning hike at Sycamore Canyon, but the parking lot was closed and there was no street parking available. Luckily I checked the tide charts for nearby Leo Carillo State Beach and saw that it was just about the lowest tide of the day had some good early morning light so I headed straight over and got some great shots.
This shot was taken from inside a small cave at Leo Carillo State Beach. It was taken at low tide which allowed me to get access to the inside of the cave and shoot out towards the receding water. I loved how the outline of the cave opening matches the shape of the rock formation - and the green color of the moss brought a little color to the duller tones of the rest of the scene
