I recently visited Saint Mary Lake in Glacier National Park on a perfectly clear morning. I walked to its shore and was impressed by the large rocks with straight lines and right angles. To me, they seemed a bit like natural puzzle pieces lining this beautiful lake's shore. I therefore determined to take lots of photos that would include the gorgeous mountainous scenery AND the rocks along the shoreline. For this particular photo, I opted for a wide-angle view, portrait orientation, to include as much of the rock formation in the foreground as possible--a rock formation that reminded me of a natural diving board.
