In November, summer is about to arrive in East Africa. The temperature builds, and the dry season eventually comes to an end as the "Small Rains" start to fall. Sunset is a magical time in the extremely isolated Ruaha National Park in South Central Tanzania. The clouds start to gather, but until the rain finally starts to fall the air is dusty, and the sunsets have a colorful intensity. The bird crossing over the sun is a huge Lappet Faced Vulture winging its way back towards its nightly roost. I took the image with a Canon 7D with an EF 16-35 mm f/2.8L III USM lens. The exposure settings were 1/50 sec, f/3.5, ISO 100, 16 mm.
