Description

The Mara River is full of enormous 6 meter Nile Crocodiles that are easily capable of making a mouthful out of a full grown wildebeest. It is complete pandemonium as the panic stricken herd rushes across the river. Most make it across, a few do not. From the shore you may not be able to spot the crocs, but the wildebeest know - or think they know - exactly where they are. I took the image with a Canon 7D Mark II with an EF 100 400 mm F/4.5-5.6 L IS II USM lens with 1.4x III teleconverter. The exposure settings were 1/800 sec, f/8.0, ISO 400, 560 mm.
