This is the west side of Mt. Hood with McGee creek in the foreground, on a cloudy morning in early August. Which is prime wild flower season in the Pacific northwest! I had camped overnight near this spot and had taken what I thought were plenty of nice shots the prior evening. I got up early and got some early sunrise photos as well. It was starting to cloud up and the forecast was for rain so I packed up and got ready to go. On the way out, as I was crossing McGee creek I looked up at Mt. Hood and decided to stop and take one last photo. I was glad I did!
