Description

Conway Summit is the highest point on the US highway 395 and is one of the prime fall color viewing spots in the eastern Sierra Nevada mountains. Located between the towns of Lee Vining and Bridgeport with Mono Lake also being close by, it is a great place to view California's stunning fall color season with it's Aspen stands, rabbitbrush and Dunderberg Peak standing watch over the area.

On this particular morning, I was lucky to not only catch the fall colors of the Aspens, but to also have the first snowfall on the Sierra Nevada mountains. It was windy up on the summit of Dunderberg as it blowing the snow off the top of the peak!
