Description
It's not an epic or iconic shot, but it is still my favorite from last year. Driving along a stretch of rural road in the Hiawatha National Forest in Michigan's upper peninsula, you can occasional spot a colorful maple tree growing amongst the taller pine trees. This little tree on a foggy morning had me hitting the brakes and pulling over to photograph the dreamy scene.
