Swift River Pillows

After an early snow in NH's mountains, these rocks were stacked with snow and ice. The rushing water made a great FG layer of texture so I waded into the river and composed around this feature. The large boulders made for a perfect midground element, finished off by the converging snow covered trees and a brilliant sunset to cast the colorful light on the river and sky. Was an unplanned but spectacular moment.
