Waimea Stormlight

A passing rain storm near sunrise set up the perfect conditions for dramatic lighting and Waimea Canyon provided the backdrop. Without clouds, the view can be quite difficult to shoot at sunrise as much of the canyon would be in shadow from this side of the canyon. The rain clouds and the higher sun angle enabled some light to enter the canyon to add depth and show off the colorful red rock mixed with bright green foliage.
