Cheetah Blue

We were following a mother cheetah and her cub in the Central Serengeti in the last fading light after sunset. The dry savanna grass picked up all the subtle colors from the blue hour sky on this particular November evening.

I took the image with a Canon EOS R6 with an EF 200-400mm f/4L IS USM extender lens, handheld. It was getting pretty dark, right at the limit of the capabilities of my camera and lens. The exposure settings were 1/1250 sec at f/4, ISO 25600, 400 mm, hand-held (and breath held). Taken 10 November 2022.
