The Eagles Have Returned

This is what winter waterfowl means in the Owens Valley (other than the local ducks at the park pond). The eagles have returned to the valley floor to eat any of the stillborn calfs or placenta from the cows that has given birth out in the fields. They also snag fish from the river and creeks because the lakes are still frozen over.
