Atlas County Park
A black/gray rat snake made its way across the hiking path on this day at the Atlas County Park, June, 2021. I had to get down pretty low for this one, as its wound itself away from me. These are venomous snakes, but are maybe the largest in Michigan and this one is certainly the largest I've seen. They subdue their prey like a boa.
