Sunset Badwater Basin

Hwy 190 south out of Furnace Creek. Take a right onto Badwater Basin Rd. Drive to Badwater Basin Parking Lot.

I wanted to catch the last rays of sunset just right to penetrate the larger salt crystals yet just giving texture to the smaller ones. Thus giving a nice but not overwhelming middle ground. All while having a beautiful back ground that matched the mood. This meant both camera and sun had to be at the right angles at the right time. Things worked out for the look I wanted. The mood shows just how I felt in that moment.
