Description
Capturing this particular image will require a bit of effort. This image was taken part way up Liberty Ridge during the 5 day climb to scale Mount Rainier via Liberty Ridge and descend via Emmons-Winthrop route. My heavy DSLR camera was a major luxury item, but the images from the climb made it well worth it. Distances in the mountains can be deceiving, so I used this climber to show scale and progress up this portion of the ridge. I let my climbing buddy get ahead of me and placed him in the foreground.
