Fire Lake

A wide angle lens was the only option for capturing all of the fantastic cloud color and textures during this sunset in Idaho's Sawtooth Mountains. In fact, I needed to stitch 2 images at 16mm to get all of the sky and water reflection at 16mm using a Nikon 16-35mm lens. The stillness and color was remarkable, as I watched the scene move in color from late afternoon until this sunset moment.
