Morning Breath

This male manatee makes his way up to our boat. He is curious about the rope attached to our boat, and like the many manatees that surrounded us, began using the rope as a chew toy! Manatees are very curious creatures and scientifically, do not possess a chemical in their brain inhibit aggression. That being said, make sure to keep your hands in the air if a manatee comes to give you a big hug, as it should be a one way street. Touching a manatee is illegal as they are an endangered and protected species.
