Eclipse Rookies

This was a composite of multiple images.

When I found out there would be a solar eclipse over Idaho, I immediately contacted by buddies there to get together to photograph the event. I obviously wanted to capture an image of the sun at full eclipse, but I also wanted to capture the camaraderie of our group enjoying this once-in-a-lifetime event. I set up two cameras, one to shoot the total eclipse, and the other to obtain an image of the group observing the eclipse. For a whimsical shot, I had everyone look in different directions, as if they did not know where to see the eclipse. I combined the images in photoshop.
