After taking plenty of shots of the sunlight pouring through morning mist that drifts across Lake Bomoseen, I had packed up my gear and left the lakeside. But, as I turned around for one last look, I noticed that Sun, relative to the hill upon which I'd been standing, was actually still rising. This solitary tree was suddenly ablaze with beams of powerful light. I wrestled my gear back out and composed this shot before finishing for the morning.
Lake Bomoseen State Park lies beside the largest body of water in Vermont. Besides being an exceptionally beautiful place, nestled within quiet forests amongst distant mountains, Lake Bomoseen also offers spectacular photography opportunities for those willing to set the alarm clock nice and early.
