This image was definitely my best shot of 2016. It was just another morning at the Ritch Grissom Wetlands in Viera, FL. I had been photographing two great blue herons from the time they started building their nest until their chicks had been hatched. On this morning the chicks were especially active and finally standing to address their mother. They reminded me of two gangly teens squawking at each other with their annoyed mother looking on.
