We flew into Anchorage, connected to Kodiak and flew by float-plane to a boat located first in Kukak Bay. We moved later to Kaflia Bay and finally Kuliak Bay. From each location, we went ashore via a skiff into shallow water and then wading.

During a photo tour at the end of August, we observed and photographed between 15 - 20 Alaskan Brown Bear including 3 sets of cub twins. Most of the adult bears fished by wading in shallow streams while looking side to side. This young boar was the only adult bear who fished totally underwater. After making this catch, he climbed the opposite bank and looked back before consuming his dinner.
