Best photo of the year? What a question! As an artist my subjective opinion and photo popularity rarely settle on the same photo. Living in Jackson Hole I achieve good wildlife success, as a traveling landscape photographer, I have achieved many travel landscapes that have been well received; however, often my favorite photos are portraits, a genre that is not mine. My landscapes regularly feature a reflection, it doubles the pleasure. I am drawn to this portrait because it is reflective both for the literal reflection and the metaphorical reflection. I remember the moments I was shooting this hoping to capture her awe of the nature beyond the window. Reflecting on nature.
