One of the highlights of my trip to Yellowstone National Park was watching this bobcat hunt. We stayed with the cat for over 3 hours while he stalked solitary ducks that came close to the river edge. He used boulders as camouflage and snow banks as covers before eventually positioning himself on a snow bank directly above an unsuspecting mallard. Once he attained that vantage point, he pounced from above and the struggling mallard soon succumbed to the attack.
