I had the opportunity to spend a couple of nights in Italy’s Cinque Terre this past spring. A hard rain was falling the evening we arrived in Vernazza, but as we finished dinner there was a lull in the storm. Three of us made a beeline up the hillside for this iconic shot overlooking the village. We only had about 15 minutes before the storm seen in the distance overtook us. We were completely drenched by the time we got back to the village, but it was well worth it.
