A group of white-tailed deer, "bachelor" bucks, had routinely been walking behind our house each morning on their daily travel routes. Most of the time they would be as secretive and careful as possible and stay within the trees as they made their way by. But for whatever reason, on this particular morning, these six deer all made their way out of the woods, in a single file line, out into the clearing behind our house. Needless to say, I sprinted to grab my camera and tripod and ran out the door, (in less clothes than I would normally wear outside, mind you) and ended up with this lucky shot of 6 of the 8 total bucks that were hanging out together. It was as if they were posing for me- even to the degree where the two bucks on the right were standing inside "windows" in the tall grass.
