In November a flock of Woodstorks arrived at a local lake, on their way to Corkscrew Sanctuary. Corkscrew Sanctuary (Audobon Society) is the largest breeding location in the United States for Woodstorks. They only breed when under the right circumstances, including a requirement for the water level to be around 3 feet in depth, which means there will be enough food for the fledglings. These birds are endangered.
