Victoria Falls on the Zambia/Zimbabwe border are famous for their astounding size. At their peak flow, they are among the largest water falls in the world. But when I visited there in late winter 2013, it was the dry season and a drought was gripping the region, leaving much of the falls dry. The low water flow and late afternoon sun made for dramatic back lighting of part of the falls and water spray. After working two afternoons trying to get some decent images, I came away with one image that almost looked like a scene from another world.
