Cedar Falls is located in the middle of Hocking Hills State Park which is approximately 60 miles south of Columbus metro area, west of State Route 33.
When the ice and snow melt in early March it can make for an incredible amount of water flowing through the streams and over the waterfalls in Hocking Hills. What I love about Cedar Falls is the approach and foreground to the subject. With a low angle it can make for a beautiful composition. The light this time of year is almost always more subtle and subdued, in fact I prefer a light mist or rain.
Late winter thaw at Cedar Falls in Hocking Hills State Park, Ohio. My favorite location for landscape photography in Ohio. This was a longer exposure at four seconds with aperture at f22. ISO was at 50 for optimal file quality.
