On a spring morning in May, I got up early to visit the Tremont area of the Smokey Mountains where there is always great photo opportunities. The water was running strong in the river and the foliage was that shiny green that you get that time of year in the Smokies. I got to the spot I was looking for and only had a few hours before the sun came up over the trees. I found a tree along the river that had blossoms which in this scene drapes nicely over the running water. My exposure was 8 seconds to get a silky finish on the water along with a variable ND filter. There was no wind so the tree was perfectly still for my shot. What a perfect morning!
