Progression’s Folly

While driving through a road expansion project, the this scene captured me. The stark reality of expansionism was overpowering. We will continue to expand, but at what cost to nature, the surrounding wildlife, our environment? When does our progress become our folly? The ominous sky that afternoon seemed to portend a warning.
