State Route 89 south from Lake Powell, past Page, Arizona, and then a short drive east on route 98. The entrance to Lower Antelope Canyon will be on the left.
There are two sections - or areas - to Antelope Canyon, the Lower and Upper Canyons. Upper Antelope requires photographers to go with guided, timed tours, however, it's easier to walk through. I prefer Lower Antelope because you can take your time and you are not required to be part of a group tour. Plus less crowded. The climb down and tight squeezes (advise against a big backpack) keep the larger groups of tourists away. There is still a fee for access, but it's well worth it.
This is a section of Lower Antelope Canyon. The image captured is a three-exposure HDR, taken during a visit in the last week of December. After completing the HDR in Photomatix Pro I converted to monochrome using Nik Silver Efex Pro in Aperture. The soft, subdued light of winter allowed for a greater range of tones and details during the longer exposures.
